EY CEO Transition Film

EY was looking to create a transition film to show the relationship between the company’s outgoing global Chairman and CEO and the incoming global Chairman and CEO. The brief was to make this film stand out - and not look like a traditional corporate video. We also had to highlight the strong relationship between Mark Weinberger and Carmine Di Sibio. Finally, it needed to be filmed at one of EY’s biggest events - Innovation Realized.

The Project

We felt it was important for this film to show the strong bond the two men share. It was obvious from the outset that both Mark and Carmine were friends as well as colleagues, so we wanted to build on that. The idea was to create a setting away from the high-tech look and feel of Innovation Realized. We couldn’t secure a film location until we were on the ground which is always a challenge - and options were limited. Then we found the brick wall. We worked to create a casual scene - complete with pastries, bad coffee and mini golf.

The Result

Creating a casual atmosphere where both felt comfortable speaking openly about the changes at EY created an almost voyeuristic feel to the film. Their true personalities were able to shine through and people were left feeling confident that the transition from one CEO to the next would be seamless. The film was so successful internally that we were then asked to create various edits for social media and other external channels.
